- What is at least one of your reasons/goals for joining the board? (feel free to elaborate)
I joined the Board to get Jake to stop pestering me ;-) In truth, Jake, Jim F and the rest of the Board over the last several years have been so welcoming and available that I felt it was finally time I could give back in some way. Before I even understood why I joined ASMP in the first place, the members here acted as mentors, teachers and friends, along the way providing a subtle guidance and support that helped me realize the value of this association and profession. While I hold the Treasurer title now, I also have the opportunity to help support and even guide the chapter through work on the website and contributions to our event planning. And, along the way, I hope I can encourage and support folks not too far behind me in their careers, the way I felt encouraged and supported.
- What's your dream photo assignment?
Oooh, I've always loved the outdoors, the grand landscapes, the challenging terrains. In another life I could have become an mountain climber or an Eco Challenge racer. I've long said that if Nat Geo or Discovery Channel called me up to shoot (photo or video) one of these type events, I'd drop everything (apologies to my wife) and go! So that's it, my dream assignment: to be sent off to some incredibly rugged and beautiful place to follow the individuals and teams to capture their moments, breathtaking, heartbreaking, or simply serene.
- Describe your ideal taco.
You know I had to have tacos for dinner the other day because this question got me thinking, which got me hungry, which... damn! Okay, ANY taco at Plaza Azteca in Manchester. They have awesome Mexican food and great service and if y'all didn't live so darn far away I'd request a Board meeting there!
