- What is at least one of your reasons/goals for joining the board? (feel free to elaborate)
I’ve always believed that this inherently competitive industry is best served by peers building community. Having benefited greatly by those who have gone before me in the industry, I feel it’s an honor and duty to contribute towards the greater good of the industry. I found my time on the NY ASMP board many years ago to be invaluable in both giving and receiving from the experience and the wonderful enduring relationships that were forged personally and professionally. Upon moving my family and business out to CT, it was time to get involved in ASMP again. Having been wrapped up in building my career and starting our family; I always admired those who truly were charitable and found meaningful ways to give back to the larger communities we live in. So, my primary mission on the board is to build a greater “outreach” program in which photographers may contribute their talents through Pro Bono photo opportunities, such as Flashes of Hope amongst others. Come participate in both chapter events/efforts and Pro Bono opportunities.
- What's your dream photo assignment?
(please sign a non disclosure agreement to read onward : ) I’d love to do a book/multimedia project on Cirque Su Soleil with portraits, interviews, background stories of the performers, and ACTION shots that’s well paid, expansive and ties into a reality show concept that I think could fly (pun intended)?
